What: Vivek Agnihotri, who has always been vocal about what’s on his mind, has raised a question about Shahid Kapoor-starrer ‘Bloody Daddy’ streaming for free.
Furthermore… Calling it “sad news”, ‘The Kashmir Files’ maker said that “Bollywood is celebrating its own destruction.” While the trailer and teasers of the film which will be seeing a direct-to-OTT release have created quite an impression, the film cost its makers a pretty penny moreso the lead actor Shahid Kapoor who charged a whopping Rs. 40 cr for it. In the wake of this, Vivek Agnihotri questioned the idea of Jio Cinema who are the producers of streaming the film free.
We say: Vivek Agnihotri is absolutely correct. More than Bloody Daddy, smaller films will suffer because of this “free Streaming strategy” as the viewers will get used to big budget moves streaming free and will not opt to go to theaters.
