The release of Sidharth Malhotra’s action thriller film, Yodha, has been rescheduled, and it is now set to hit theaters on December 15, 2023.

Directed by Sagar Ambre and Pushkar Ojha, the film centers around an airplane hijacking.

Yodha sees Sidharth Malhotra reuniting with Karan Johar, following the success of their previous collaboration, SherShaah. Alongside Malhotra, the film also stars Disha Patani and Raashii Khanna in prominent roles. Initially slated for release on September 15, 2023, the makers recently announced the new release date.

Dharma Productions, the production company behind the film, took to Instagram to officially announce the revised release date. They expressed their excitement, stating that Yodha, which marks the first action film of the franchise led by Sidharth Malhotra and directed by the debutant duo Sagar Ambre and Pushkar Ojha, would now be hitting cinemas on December 15, 2023. The post also acknowledged the involvement of Disha Patani and Raashii Khanna in the lead roles.

Sidharth Malhotra and Karan Johar have collaborated on various projects in the past, including Student of The Year, Brothers, Hasee Toh Phasee, and SherShaah. Yodha is a joint venture between Prime Video, Dharma Productions, and Mentor Disciple Films. It is produced by Hiroo Yash Johar, Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, and Shashank Khaitan.

In addition to Yodha, Sidharth Malhotra is also set to make his debut in the digital space with Rohit Shetty’s Indian Police Force, a series that will exclusively stream on Amazon Prime Video. The series also features Vivek Oberoi and Shilpa Shetty in significant roles.

While Yodha has been rescheduled, Karan Johar is gearing up for his return to the director’s chair after seven years with his upcoming film, Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. The star-studded cast includes Alia Bhatt, Ranveer Singh, Jaya Bachchan, Dharmendra, and Shabana Azmi.
