Not Rajinikanth but this actor was the first choice for Jailer

What:  Rajinikanth’s latest blockbuster, “Jailer,” has been rewriting box office records, establishing itself as the second-highest-grossing Tamil film of all time and marking a significant success for the superstar after a considerable hiatus. However, it’s interesting to note that before Rajinikanth stepped into the titular role, director Nelson Dilipkumar had another actor in mind.

Furthermore: According to reports, Nelson Dilipkumar initially contemplated casting Chiranjeevi, the iconic Telugu actor known as the “Megastar,” for the lead role in “Jailer.” However, Chiranjeevi expressed reservations about the project, citing the absence of songs and dance sequences in the film. Chiranjeevi’s films are known for their signature song-and-dance routines, and this deviation from the norm seemed to have given him pause. While he didn’t outright reject the offer, Chiranjeevi left it open-ended, telling the director, Nelson, “Let’s see later.”

We say: It’s important to note that there has been no official confirmation of this report, but it has garnered significant attention on social media.
