Nassar says South film industry thought OTT was new type of TV serial: ‘There was lot of confusion’

What: South star Nassar recently played the lead role in SonyLIV’s The Jengaburu Curse, which has been winning accolades. For the actor, the show is not just an Indian but a ‘global’ series as it discusses issues that pertain to every individual. “Every country has its own economic, political, and religious problems but the degradation of the environment is a common threat for all,” he shared.

Furthermore: Talking further about the show, the veteran actor said that it’s not a docu-drama or ‘preachy’ and can also be considered a father-daughter drama. “But the structure is like a James Bond film with a number of thrills,” he added. But of course, he also said that when he spoke about doing an OTT series, the South was flummoxed.

We say: Yes but that was before. Now the South is dishing out some amazing OTT series.
