What: Netflix is gearing up for the second edition of its Emmy-nominated anthology Lust Stories 2. Giving us their own version and vision of Lust, 4 directors; Amit Ravindernath Sharma, Konkona Sen Sharma, R. Balki, and Sujoy Ghosh have created a collection of films with a crackling star cast including Amruta Shubhash, Angad Bedi, Kajol, Kumud Mishra, Mrunal Thakur, Neena Gupta, Tamannaah Bhatia, Tillotama Shome and Vijay Varma.
Furthermore: Talking about the same, Kajol told Filmfare, “At one point in time as a society, we were very open about it. It was part of our ancient texts and our education. We later closed ourselves off from it. But at the end of the day, it is a very normal part of life that we cannot do without. I think it needs to be normalized the same way that we’ve normalized eating and drinking. It’s really a question of making it a part of the conversation rather than closing it off. Trying not to talk about it gives it all the more attention and focus.”
We say: It’s time to get out of the closet and bring subjects like sex and lust out in the open, not to titillate but to educate people.
