Reflecting on their father-son bond, Aparshakti emphasized that despite being actors themselves, their father was the true hero in their lives. The Khurrana family experienced the loss of their beloved father, P Khurrana, on May 19, 2023. Following a prolonged battle with an incurable illness, the renowned astrologer passed away in Mohali around 10.30 am. The final rites were conducted at the Manimajra cremation ground in Chandigarh. Ayushmann Khurrana, in the days that followed, shared a heartfelt note on Instagram, expressing his grief and gratitude for the cherished memories he had with his father. Aparshakti, too, compiled a montage of precious moments shared with his father, vowing to treasure those memories for the rest of his life.

Now, on the one-month anniversary of his father’s demise, Aparshakti penned an emotional letter as a tribute. He acknowledged that with each passing day, he has come to realize that no one can love, protect, and guide like a father does.

Aparshakti’s heartfelt words in the letter echo, “Tu jaanta nahi mera baap kaun hai” (You don’t know who my father is). It’s a phrase I never had to say because in Chandigarh, everyone knew Papa! His charisma and demeanor were a testament to his hard work and dedication.

“It’s been almost a month since you left us, Papa, and with every passing day, I understand more deeply that no one can love, protect, and guide you like a father does. I am truly grateful that God blessed me with you as my father.”

Aparshakti reminisced about his father’s unique ways of imparting life lessons, such as the time he gifted him a T-shirt with the quote, “Run, Run, Run… there is no finish line.” These lessons, among many others, have stayed with Aparshakti, inspiring him to live by them every day.

Acknowledging their roles as actors, Aparshakti emphasized that their father was the true hero in their lives. He believed that the bond between parent and child knows no “finish line” either; it remains eternal.

On June 6, Ayushmann Khurrana, Aparshakti Khurana, and their mother, Poonam, were spotted at the Mumbai airport, returning from Chandigarh. Holding their mother’s hands, the brothers engaged in conversation as they made their way back to Mumbai.
