Anupama actor Nitesh Pandey dies at 51 of complications from cardiac arrest

Actor Nitesh Pandey, best known for his role in Anupama, has died at the age of 51. He reportedly went into cardiac arrest on Tuesday, May 23. Apart from his work in his television, Nitesh was also known for his acting in Shah Rukh Khan starring Om Shanti Om. The news of his sudden death shocked the entire industry. Reportedly, the actor suffered a cardiac arrest while filming in Igatpuri.

Siddarth Nagar, Nitesh’s brother-in-law, confirmed the news to ETimes. He told Portal: “Yes, it sounded right. My brother-in-law is gone and my sister Arpita Pandey is in shock. Mr. Nitesh’s father went to Igatpuri to pick up the body. I was here in the afternoon. After that, we were completely dumbfounded and unable to speak to Mr. Arpita.”

Siddarth also said he had just returned from Delhi when he heard the disappointing news. “Nitesh was much younger than me. He was a very active person and I don’t think he ever had heart disease.”

Nitesh was reportedly previously married to Ashwini Karsekar. For his work, he played the role of Dheeraj Kumar in Rupali Ganguly and ‘Anupama’.

The television industry lost two more actors in the last two days, Aditya Singh Rajput and Vaibhavi Upadhyay. Aditya was found dead in her home and Vaibavi, the actress of Sarabhai vs. Sarabhai, died in a car accident.
