Shahid Kapoor, who is currently busy promoting his upcoming film ‘Bloody Daddy’, recently celebrated completing 20 years in the film industry. To commemorate this milestone, his wife Mira Rajput organized a party for him. Shahid made his debut in 2003 with Ken Ghosh’s film ‘Ishq Vishk’, which also starred Amrita Rao, Shenaz Treasurywala, and Vishal Malhotra in pivotal roles.
During an interview, Shahid shared his thoughts on his debut and his journey in the industry. He revealed that Mira had organized a special party for him, inviting Ramesh Surani and Ken Ghosh. Ken Ghosh was the director of his debut film ‘Ishq Vishk’. Shahid mentioned that he had collaborated with Ramesh Surani on several projects throughout his career but unfortunately hadn’t worked together in recent years.
Shahid went on to share an interesting anecdote, saying, “You know Shahid, how keen you were to start. You used to come and sit in my office and say, ‘Sir mujhe film karni hai, film karni hai.’ In fact, I actually stalled you for two and a half years from debuting because you were in such a hurry.” The actor expressed that even when he finally made his debut, he felt he was too young and faced challenges. There were no co-actors of his age, and scripts like that were rare at the time, making it a struggle.
As for his upcoming projects, Shahid Kapoor will be seen in ‘Bloody Daddy’, which is set to have a direct OTT release on June 9. Additionally, he has an untitled film alongside Kriti Sanon in Ali Abbas Zafar’s directorial pipeline.
Conclusion
Shahid Kapoor’s 20-year journey in the film industry is a significant milestone. Despite the initial struggles and challenges he faced, Shahid has managed to carve a niche for himself with his talent and dedication. Fans eagerly anticipate his upcoming projects, including ‘Bloody Daddy’ and the untitled film with Kriti Sanon, as he continues to entertain audiences with his versatile performances.
